Top class throwers can often run at great speed over short
distances. It was reported that Geoff Capes could run 60m in under 7 seconds,
despite being over 20 stones in weight (imagine that one a rugby pitch!)

This section is short, because it is not necessary to do
a lot of sprinting - some sets, along the lines of 8 x 30m with 2-3minutes
between each rep will help maintain power and agility as well as improve your
co-ordination skills - making it easier to learn new movements - like the
ones required to launch the implement of your choice as far as possible.
